Invitations for the ICA’s inaugural gala and afterparty.
The invitation balances the avant-garde and garden with a reinterpretation of the existing event branding by Seychelle Stableford and illustration library of botanical drawings sourced from The Met’s open access image archive.
The postcard for the after-party, “Night Bloom,” further develops the visual language and context of the botanical illustration with a photo of a moon flower, imagining the after-party sequins and rhinstones, disco balls, a dance floor spiraling out as the moon flowers bloom. The illustration developed for the postcard was used on all subsequent advertising and signage.
